NEET Cut-off 2022 Maharashtra: The NTA will publish the NEET Maharashtra cut-off on the official website neet.nta.nic.in after the NEET results 2022 are declared. The NEET cut-off 2022 will be declared in two formats, which are qualifying cut off and admission cut off. NTA will issue the NEET Qualifying cut-off 2022 along with the results whereas the NEET Admission cut-off 2022 will be released after NEET UG counseling by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
NTA or National Testing Agency is responsible for releasing the NEET cutoffs. The qualifying percentile for NEET cut-off 2022 is 50 for the UR category, 40 for SC/ST/OBC, and 45 for UR-PH. The closing and opening ranks at which MBBS admissions are given are the admission cut offs for NEET 2022.
NEET cut-off score is simply the minimum score needed to qualify for the NEET exam. The NEET Cutoff often comes in two forms- the qualifying cut off and the admission cut off. The NEET qualifying score is the minimal mark a candidate must achieve to pass the exam, whereas the NEET admission cut-off is the last rank at which admission will be granted to an applicant.
For general category applicants, the qualifying NEET Cut off for 2021 was 138–720; for OBC, SC, and ST category candidates, it was 108–137. Only those candidates who have qualified NEET 2022 will be permitted to take part in the counselling session.
There are a few considerable factors that influence the NEET Maharashtra cut-off, which are listed below:
Reservations and difficulty level of NEET exam could be other key factors that determine the NEET Cut-off 2022 for MBBS in Maharashtra.
There are two quotas that are applicable under Maharashtra MBBS/BDS admissions- a 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and an 85% State Quota. The MCC is responsible for managing and administering NEET Maharashtra Medical college Cut-off 2022 for AIQ seats. Similarly, Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER) announces the NEET Maharashtra cut-offs for the state quota seats. The MBBS admission process consists of two important processes- seat allotment and counselling.
MCC will announce the NEET cut-off for Maharashtra 2022 for 15% AIQ seats. After each round of counselling and seat distribution, MCC will publish the NEET 2022 Maharashtra cut-off. The candidate's All India Rank, NEET score, and last rank at which admission is given will be provided in the NEET cut-off Maharashtra. The NEET cut-off for each category in Maharashtra in 2022 will be different, including SC, ST, OBC, UR, PH, and EWS.
The DMER will publish the NEET cut off for Maharashtra, which accounts for 85% of seats, under the state quota. NEET 2022 Maharashtra cut-off is the last rank at which a specific admission category, course, college, would be given. In total, there are 9,820 MBBS seats and 3,526 BDS. Previously, regional quotas were used to distribute 70% of these seats while state quotas were used to distribute 30% of them. However, from the 2020 session, regional and state quotas will no longer be used.
The NEET Maharashtra cut-off 2022 consists of final rankings for various categories based on the constitutional reservation. These categories include Scheduled Tribes (ST), Scheduled Castes (SC), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS).
