NEET is a national-level medical entrance examination conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses offered by numerous government and private colleges of India. The NEET 2018 examination was conducted on May 6, 2018, and the result of the same is scheduled to be released on June 5, 2018, which will be followed by NEET Counselling. The Counselling Schedule for NEET 2018 candidates has been released. The NEET Counselling 2018 will commence from June 12, 2018, and will be conducted through online mode.
Counselling Conducting Authority: TheNEET Counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) of the Directorate General of Health Services. The DGHS will be conducting counseling for 15 percent of All India Seats. The Medical Council Committee will be managing counseling procedure for 15% All India Quota Seats, Deemed University/ Central University/ Seats of ESIC & AFMC including BHU & AMU.
Eligibility: The candidates qualifying the NEET 2018 examination will be eligible for NEET 2018 Counselling process. The candidates appearing for NEET Counselling must have cleared Class 12th with a minimum of 50 percent marks.
Counseling Phases: The NEET Counselling will involve three phases i.e. Registration, Choice Locking and Seat Allotment.
Preferences: The candidates have complete authority to select a college or institute of their preference.
Step 1: Online Registration- The Online Registration process involves providing the details of the candidate such as Roll Number, Name, date of Birth, Mobile Number and email ID. After the registration, the Login ID and Password will be generated.
Step 2: Selection and Locking- In this step the candidate can select the course and college of their preference.
Step 3: Seat Allotment- The seat allotment process will be conducted in three rounds. The candidates will be allotted seat according to their rank in the examination along with the preferences mentioned by the candidate during online registration for the counseling. After the allotment of seats, the candidate is required to report the allotted college for admission.
Step 4: Second Round of Counselling- The new registration will be required to participate in the second round of counseling followed by providing the preferences and locking.

After the Counselling Process, the candidates are required to report the allotted college along with downloaded allotment letter before the scheduled deadline. The candidate is also required to submit the admission fees to confirm the seat.
