About LLB Entrance Exam

In order to pursue law in India, the candidate can either choose to go through an integrated five-year LLB program or a three-year LLB program. A bachelor's degree in any discipline from an accredited university is required for the three-year option; the minimum percentage of marks varies depending on the institution and is typically between 40 and 45 percent. Those who have recently finished their education may apply to the five-year integrated LLB program. Candidates must have passed their 10+2 exam from a recognized board in order to be eligible.

LLB program admissions has two main paths. Some colleges and universities choose their students based on the results of the qualifying exams but to get into most elite law schools, candidates have to pass an entrance exam.

There are numerous esteemed entrance examinations to choose from. The National Law Universities, or NLUs, administer the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) nationally to candidates seeking admission to their undergraduate and graduate law programs. Another reputable test that National Law University Delhi administers for its undergraduate and graduate law programs is the AILET (All India Law Entrance Test). A variety of Indian law schools accept applicants who pass the LSAT-India (Law School Admission Test - India), an international standardized exam. Additionally, entrance examinations at the state or university level are held for admission to associated law colleges. The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SET SLAT) and the Telangana State Law Common Entrance Test (TS LAWCET) are two such tests.
