Junior Colleges in India: Before enrolling in a four-year university degree course, students first attend a junior college, a post-secondary educational institution. While schooling in India is required to continue through the 12th grade, several states, like Maharashtra, Odisha, and Assam, offer education up to the 10th grade only. Students are then enrolled in junior colleges to continue their studies.
