The Joint Entrance Examination Main 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on April 8, 2018 (paper and pen mode) and April 15-16, 2018 (computer-based exam). With few days left for aspiring candidates to prepare for JEE Main, here are few tips that will help candidates to qualify this entrance examination:

Tips to Crack JEE Main:

  1. Manage your time: Prepare a timetable and give equal time to all the subjects. No subject should be left unprepared and follow the timetable. Most of the time candidates prepare timetable but fail to follow it. It's time to spend quality time with your subjects as you are already running short of time. You can take short breaks of 5-10 minutes after every 2-3 hours of rigorous studies.
  2. Study Material: Currently concentrate on the books which you have been studying for last two years, rather than starting with completely new books. You must also focus on NCERT books. NCERT emphasizes on basics and clears the concept of each topic.
  3. Mock tests: You must take a mock test daily. Divide the topics from each subject into ten modules and start revising one module from all three subjects. Combine three modules of respective subjects daily and try to complete it in three hours and then analyze your performance. This will help you in managing your time during examination and will also provide you an idea about the exam pattern and weightage of important topics.
  4. Previous year papers: The candidates must also spend time in solving previous year question papers. It will help you in managing your time while writing JEE Main Entrance Examination and you will also get a detailed idea about the pattern in which the questions are asked.
  5. Take proper sleep: Don't over burden yourself. Relax and take a proper sleep of at least 6 hours at night. Don't take too much of stress, it may affect your health. You can do yoga or meditation to remove stress and stay more focused towards your goal.

Always keep in mind that JEE Main is not a difficult entrance examination. It is a tricky examination which churns your analytical abilities. At times students fail to qualify this entrance exam because of mismanagement in planning timetable while preparation and not understanding the question paper properly. Practicing mock papers and previous years question papers, will give you an idea about which question will take how much time in solving. Keeping this analysis in mind, read the question paper thoroughly. You can keep maximum of 15 minutes of time for analyzing your question paper and deciding the series in which you are going to answer the question. Always attempt those questions first in which you are confident. Don't waste much time on questions which you don't know. Speed and accuracy are two key features which will help you in qualifying this entrance examination. You can master both features by practicing more and more. Be focused towards your goal and nothing is impossible!
