Ivy League Schools: When talking about the top US institutions, the phrase "Ivy League" is frequently used. This term actually refers to the highest calibre professors worldwide, not simply those in the US. Receiving acceptance into an Ivy League university is the equivalent of the American Dream for a foreign student. The goal of the 1954-formed Ivy League University Cluster was to foster athletic and sporting relationships among its eight member universities in the Northeastern United States of America.

The concepts of social exclusivity, selective admissions, and academic brilliance are also associated with Ivy League schools. Currently, academic success has replaced the sports connotation as the primary factor in defining an Ivy League school. Out of the eight colleges, seven were established prior to the American Revolution (1776), making the Ivy League the oldest university system in the country. Ivy League colleges are consistently regarded as among of the best in the nation and the world for international students.

Eligibility Requirements for Ivy League Schools in the US

The USA's Ivy League universities are still rated higher than all other universities worldwide. The best universities in the United States would undoubtedly be on that list, regardless of the field you select. Therefore, students begin the drawn-out application process when admissions for any degree, including bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees, open. In the event that you intend to follow suit, the following is a list of the paperwork you will need before beginning the American university application process.

A Valid Passport

Ideally, you should have a passport that is valid until about 6 months after your intended course completion date. For instance, if you are applying for a 2-year course, starting August 2022, which would end by August 2022, then your passport should be valid at least till February 2024.

Academic Transcripts

You would need your marks/results or officially referred to as academic transcripts for all classes from class 9 and upwards. If you are still in class 12, then you would need the result of classes 9, 10, and 11. If you are applying for PG courses, you would also need the mark sheets or your bachelor's degree (all-year scores, as well as a cumulative score, would be required).

Standardized Test Scores

Although many institutions may still accept applications if you plan to take the SAT or ACT for your undergraduate studies or the GMAT or GRE for graduate school, it is always a good idea to have your test results ready before beginning the application process. It may be necessary for you to provide the University with the reference number from your scorecard.

Proof of Funds

This is one of your application's more crucial components. You would still need to fill out rather thorough financial details about your family, even if you would not need to present actual proof. The university uses this information to assess your financial situation in addition to your eligibility for a scholarship (occasionally). Therefore, you must be well-prepared with all the necessary documents, such as tax returns, and have a clear idea of the amount of funding you anticipate receiving.
