The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is India’s ranked 1st open learning university. It was established in 1985 in memory of the former Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi. The university is currently offering the Open mat entrance exam for the MBA program, the IGNOU B.Ed entrance exam for enrolling in a Bed course, and the IGNOU Ph.D. entrance exam for enrolling in a Ph.D. program of interest.

Additionally, there are two ways to submit the university's IGNOU admission form: online and offline. While the online form will only be accessible online, the offline form can be obtained from the IGNOU regional department. IGNOU Admission Process 2025 For New Students

  • You must first move in the direction of the IGNOU website.
  • Search for Register Online and click the Admission link on the main page's tabbed layout.
  • Start the registration process by entering the required information, including your name, gender, email address, user name, password, and the displayed secure code, and then click "Submit."
  • You have completed the registration process up to this point, so please log in and start filling out the application for the course you have chosen.
  • Enter the required documents in scanned format with a maximum of 10 KB size in the online application form.
  • Pay the application fee, which may be in the 200-400 range, etc.
  • Following the successful completion of the payment, you will be given a control number here.

Take a printout of the completed application form that has been submitted, and save the control number. After your submitted documents have been verified, you will be given an enrollment number.

New Certificate Courses Launched by IGNOU

A look at the new courses is essential if you intend to enroll in the university's 2025 admissions round. According to the most recent information, the university will begin offering the following three new certificate programs.

  • Certificate Course in the Arabic language
  • Certificate Course in the Russian Language
  • Certificate Course in Tourism Studies

The prerequisite for the aforementioned course is a 10+2 diploma. While most courses have no age restrictions, some do have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old. If you look closely, the goal of launching the courses is to assist students in expanding their career trajectories. Additionally, they are interested in learning new languages these days. The length of these certificate programs, therefore, ranges from six months to a year.

IGNOU Fees Structure 2025
