IIT Kharagpur provides a Joint MTech-PhD or MCP-PhD program. The college has 42 specializations at the postgraduate level for which admission is on the basis of a valid GATE exam score. IIT Kharagpur MTech Application Procedure
Firstly the interested candidates must apply online for the GATE examination through the official website. Before applying for the MTech program at the college, candidates must register on the Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). The COAP registration number is needed while applying for admission to the institute.
The male/transgender candidates belonging to the GE/EWS/OBC categories need to pay an application fee of INR 500 whereas the female candidates or those belonging to the PwD/SC/ST categories need to pay an application fee of INR 250.
- The application fee is not refundable.
- The payment mode for fee payment is online and all other necessary qualifying certificates and required documents are to be scanned and uploaded during application submission.
- A hard copy of the application and documents is not necessary. However, applicants must secure a copy of the completed application form for their records.
