For IIT JAM 2024, the application form will be accessible exclusively online. The release date for the IIT JAM 2024 Application Form is September 5, 2023. After completing the form, applicants should upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature.

In the event of any errors in the submitted details, corrections can be made during the second week of November until the fourth week of November 2024. The final date for submitting the application form is October 13, 2023. Be sure to submit the application form and retain a printout for your records.

How to Fill IIT JAM Registration Form 2024?

To complete the IIT JAM application form for 2024, candidates should adhere to the following steps:

Step 1: Online Registration

• Navigate to the official IIT JAM website, jam.iitg.ac.in.
• Locate and click on the 'Application Login (JOAPS)' link.
• A registration window will appear on the screen.

Step 2: Registration Process

• Fill in all the necessary information in the registration form, including the candidate's name, email ID, mobile number, and other required details.
• Click the "Submit" button.
• Upon successful registration, students will receive an Enrollment ID sent to the registered email ID and contact number.

Step 3: Application Form Details

• Candidates must use their Enrollment ID and Password to log in to the website.
• After logging in, candidates should select "Edit Application Form" and provide the following information.

Step 4: JAM 2024 Exam Information

• Enter details related to the JAM 2024 examination, such as the number of papers, paper subject, and preferences for the examination city.

Step 5: Personal Information of the Applicant

• Provide personal details including parent/guardian’s name and mobile number, city preferences, the number and choice of test paper(s), date of birth, gender, communication address, category, PwD status, and other necessary information.
• During this step, candidates will need to verify their email ID and mobile number by entering the OTPs received via email and SMS.

Step 6: Contact Information 

• Provide your accurate address along with valid personal identification information, including the ID proof number.

Step 7: Educational Qualification

• Include details about your qualifying degree, percentage of marks/CGPA, year of completion, college name and address, and other pertinent information.

Step 8: Uploading Scanned Documents 

• Access the option to upload images. Select and upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, and SC/ST/PwD certificate (if applicable) one by one.

Step 9: Payment of Application Fee

• Once the images are uploaded, candidates can proceed to pay the application fee, which can be done through both online and offline modes.
• For online payment, candidates can use debit/credit cards or their net banking accounts. Enter the payment details and complete the application fee payment.
• For offline payment, students should obtain a printout of the e-challan form and submit the application fee at the nearest SBI Bank branch.

Application Fee:

The application fee must be submitted online only. Applicants can pay the application fee using credit card, debit card, or net banking.

Step 10: Print Your Application Form

After successfully completing all the steps in the application form, you can generate a printout of the filled application form. 

It is advisable to keep a copy of the printed application form for future reference. Please note that there is no need to send the printed application form to the authorities.

• Class 10 Mark sheet and certificate.
• Class 12 Mark sheet and passing certificate. If only CGPA is mentioned in class 10 and class 12 mark sheets, enter the CGPA in aggregate marks field after converting in the percentile form.
• Qualifying degree Mark-Sheets and certificate (Graduation).
• Nationality Certificate.
• Caste or Category certificate.
• PWD Certificate.
• After paying the JAM 2024 Application fee, scan the Institute's copy of E-Challan and upload the same before the last date of application form submission on the official website.

IIT JAM 2024 Application Correction 

The IIT JAM 2024 application correction feature will be made available by the authority exclusively through an online platform. Eligible candidates for this correction process are those who successfully submitted their application forms within the prescribed deadline on the official website. During the correction period, candidates will be allowed to make modifications to specific details in the application form, limited to the following categories:

• Add/change Test Paper(s)
• Change of data related to Exam City
• Gender
• Category
• PwD/Dyslexic status
• Candidate’s Name
• DOB
• Parent’s/Guardian’s Name
• University/College Name
• Year of Graduation
• Marks/CGPA.

How to Retrieve Lost Enrolment ID/Password?

Candidates can recover their IIT JAM enrollment ID or password in case of loss/forgot by following the straightforward steps outlined below:

• Visit the official IIT JAM website.
• On the homepage, access the candidate portal.
• You will encounter an option labeled 'Forgot Enrolment ID' or 'Password.'
• If you recall your Enrolment ID but have forgotten the password, select "Request for an OTP" to receive a One Time Password (OTP).
• If you already possess an OTP, click on "Already have an OTP?" to initiate the password reset process.
• If you cannot recall your Enrolment ID, choose "Forgot Enrolment ID" to receive your Enrolment ID via SMS.

IIT JAM 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Before applying for IIT JAM 2024, candidates must make sure they meet the following eligibility requirements:
• Indian nationals and foreigners with degrees from Indian universities are both eligible to apply.
• Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from a university or board that is recognised.
• No minimum % will be required to be eligible for the exam. A qualifying degree examination must be passed.
• Candidates who will be taking the qualifying exam in 2024 are also eligible to apply for the IIT JAM 2024.
