Placement session for IIT ISM Dhanbad (2023-2024)
The 2024 placement is still in progress. Till 28 March 909 jobs have been recognised. the total no companies visited on the campuses was 204 and 860 students were placed. The median package is INR 12.50 LPA respectively. To add to this 321 internships were given to the 2025 batch. The median stipend is INR 75,000 per month.
- A drop of almost 3% was observed in the 2024 average package compared to 2023.
- The total number of offers made in 2024 dropped by almost 21% compared to 2023.

Placement Session IIT ISM Dhanbad (2022-2023)
The IIT ISM placement session of 2022-2023 started on the 1st of May. Due to the worldwide recession, 55 company withdrew their applications but still IIT ISM institutions achieved a markup of 1000 jobs offered like last year. In comparison due to the 2022 placement cell, the institution has received fewer applications because of the above-mentioned reason.
- The total no of jobs offered in 2023 is 1048 out of which 1013 got accepted.
- PPOs offered in 2023 is 234 which is 84 more than they received in 2022.
- The highest package in LPA is 56 which got increased by 6.87 in comparison to last year.
Many of the companies also extended their pre-placement offers like Amazon 21, Cairn 10, Goldman Sachs 10, Microsoft 26, Google 9 and Standard Charted 10, Tata Steal 8, Srib 18, oracle 11, Texas Instruments 4, Axis Bank 5, Walmart Morgan Stanley 4 and so on.
Indian Institute of Technology Dhanbad has finally completed its placement in 2023 and most of the students are highly satisfied with their placement. Students had a perfect mix of both the core( the department in which you are doing the degree ) and the software company. The companies that went for hiring are TATA Steel, Meesho, Jaguar, ICICI Bank, etc.
