Recent updates: After students protested, IIT Delhi announced a reduction in fees.
IT Delhi reached this judgment based on the recommendations of the committee formed by the Director to investigate the representation made by a group of M.Tech students. "Tuition and other fees have been drastically cut as a result of the protests at IIT Delhi, based on the proposal of the committee constituted to manage the problem. The full-time M.Tech. tuition cost has been cut from Rs. 25,000 to 17,500 every semester "According to IIT Delhi. Similarly, tuition for other postgraduate programs has been cut. In addition to the tuition cost, there is a reduction in other charge components.
The tuition amount levied for various programs, including BTech, MTech, and Dual Degree, is one of the most frequently asked concerns by candidates attempting to get admission to an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). The number of seats for the UG programme at multiple IITs is about 12,000. However, around 2.5 million candidates sit the JEE advanced exam each year in order to get admission to IITs.
