What is GCET Exam?

The Goa Common Entrance Test (Goa CET) is a state-level entrance exam administered by DTE Goa for admission to professional degree courses in Engineering offered at various colleges throughout Goa. The Goa CET is a state-level entrance exam, and admission to these courses is controlled by the DTE Goa.

GCET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

GCET B.E Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for GCET 2023 will be published on the official website by the exam authorities. Candidates must check the GCET 2023 eligibility criteria before submitting their application forms. Under the GCET eligibility criteria 2023, candidates must adhere to the following parameters:

  • Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to take the GCET 2023 exam. Non-resident Indians with Indian passports are also eligible to apply for NRI seats. The NRI Category will also accept holders of Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cards as applicants.
  • Age: There is no set age restriction for enrollment in engineering and pharmacy programs.
  • Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed the Goa Board's Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) Examination or an equivalent exam administered by the Central Board of Secondary Education in New Delhi, or any other examination. Candidates who have passed or are scheduled to take the HSSC, 10+2, or equivalent exams prior to the start of the academic session will be eligible to take the GCET 2023.
  • Subject Combination & Minimum Marks: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination of the Goa Board or an equivalent exam with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and any one of the following subjects as electives. Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology with a minimum of 45% in Physics and Mathematics and one of the following subjects Chemistry/ Bio-Technology/ Computer Science/ Biology. For the same criteria, candidates from the SC, ST, and OBC categories must have 40%.

Reserved Category

  • Candidates claiming seats in the reserved categories of SC/ST/OBC must submit a caste certificate in the prescribed proforma from the Competent Authority. In case of the required certificate has not been enclosed with the
  • If they do not complete the form, their application will be considered only for the General Category.

Kashmiri Migrants

Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or an equivalent examination with English, Physics, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, as well as one of the following subjects - Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology, and must have obtained a minimum of 45% in Physics and Mathematics, as well as one of the following subjects - Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology.

Diploma/BSc Degree Holder

  • Candidates who passed a Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std XIIth with at least 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC) were eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses, subject to vacancies in First Year after vacancies at Lateral Entry into Direct Second Year were exhausted.
  • The merit list of such candidates is compiled based on the aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying exam.

GCET 2023 Application Form

The GCET application form 2023 will be available online for candidates to complete. Candidates must provide personal, academic, and contact information when filling out the GCET 2023 application form. All of the details must be true in nature. The required application fee must be paid online, via net banking/credit card/debit card.

Steps to fill GCET Online Application Form 2023

  • Visit DTE Goa's official website at gcet.ac.in.
  • In the first step, create a new user account with an email address and a password.
  • Following that, candidates must click on the verification link sent to their email and log in to complete the application form.
  • Fill in the blanks with your personal, academic, and contact information.
  • In addition, the candidate's photograph and signature must be scanned and uploaded to the application form.
  • Pay the application fee and choose your preferred exam location.
  • After the application form is submitted, the admit card will be generated and emailed to the candidate's registered email address.

GCET 2023 Admit Card

All registered candidates will receive their GCET 2023 admit card. Candidates who submit their online application form before the deadline will receive their GCET hall ticket via email. GCET 2023 Result 

  • The GCET result 2023 will be posted on the DTE website and Notice Board. 
  • Any changes to the publication schedule of the results will be announced in designated newspapers. No individual scorecard will be provided to the candidates.
  • The authority will also release the answer key prior to the announcement of the results. 
  • Each course will have its own merit list. 
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the counselling rounds based on this merit list.
