The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering known as GATE examination will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology- Madras for the academic year 2019. The GATE 2019 examination will be conducted in two sessions. The first session will be held on February 2 & February 3, whereas, the second session will be conducted on February 9 & February 10 respectively. The online registrations for GATE 2019 will commence from September 1, 2018, and the last date to apply for the same is September 21, 2018.

Step 1: Visit the official website of GATE at gate.iitm.ac.in and click on ‘New User? Register Here' link available on the homepage.
Step 2: GATE 2019 Registration window will appear on the screen. Provide the following details:
Step 3: An SMS will be sent to the candidate on the registered mobile number and Enrollment ID and OTP will be allocated.
Step 4: Read the Information Brochure carefully and click on ‘Start GATE 2019 Application Form' link available on the screen.
Step 5: Provide the required information such as Personal Details, Subject, Examination city etc.
Step 6: Upload the documents, photograph and signature. The size of the photo should be between 5-150 KB and the minimum resolution should be 80*280.
Step 7: Payment of application fees through online mode i.e. Credit Card, Net Banking and Debit Card.

GATE 2019 examination will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology- Madras (IIT-M) for admissions to Post Graduate and Direct Doctoral Programmes in the field of Engineering, Technology, Architecture and other branches of Science. The GATE 2019 Score will be accepted by all the Indian Institutes of Science (IISc) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) across the country. The GATE Score is also required in the recruitment process of Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as BHEL, GAIL, HAL, IOCL, ONGC and many more. The GATE Score will be valid for three years.
