Punjabi University's Distance Education Department is a renowned institution in Patiala, Punjab. Distance Education Punjabi University Patiala Courses and Fees

The Centre for Distance and Online Education at Punjabi University, Patiala offers many distance education programs. The university pioneered higher education for working professionals, underprivileged groups, and remote students who cannot attend on-campus programs. Distance education offers graduate diplomas, bachelor's degrees, postgraduate programs, and certificates/diplomas. Distance Education Punjabi University Patiala Admission 2024-2025

  • The online entrance portal opens on June 5, 2024. Go to www.pbidde.org and click ‘Admissions 2024’.
  • Before applying, review the admission requirements, eligibility criteria, and document list.
  • Select your course and complete the online application with accurate personal, academic, and contact information. Upload passport-sized pictures and
  • scanned papers.
  • Online application fees range from Rs. 500 to 2000, depending on the course. SC/ST candidates get fee discounts.
  • Please print your application and fee receipt for future reference. The institution may request hard copies of your documents for verification.
  • Merit in the qualifying exam determines admission. No admission test is required for most courses. MBA and MCA may require entrance exams.
  • The application deadline is July 31, 2024. Admissions may close earlier if seats are full.

Distance Education Punjabi University Patiala Scholarship

Punjabi University online education offers merit- and need-based scholarships to students. Scholarships for distance learners include:

  • Post Matric Scholarship for SC/ST students: This centrally sponsored scholarship provides financial aid for further study to SC/ST students. It waives tuition and pays a monthly stipend.
  • Dr. Ambedkar Post Matric Scholarship for Economically Backward Classes: Students from economically disadvantaged families with yearly family incomes under Rs. 2.5 lakhs can apply. It reimburses tuition and upkeep.
  • Minority Scholarship: Sikh, Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, and other minority students can apply for this award. A monthly stipend and tuition waiver are offered.
