The marking scheme of CUET 2024 Exam is defined by the NTA. The CUET Marking scheme is the only basis for calculating the CUET Score.
Below mentioned are the steps that students can follow in order to understand the score calculation of CUET Exam:
Use the formula mentioned below to check the raw score of the CUET Exam.
Each institution or college participating in CUET 2024 establishes its own specific cut-off scores. To secure admission to their desired institute, candidates must obtain scores equal to or higher than the announced cut-off points to be included in the CUET 2024 merit list. The cut-off marks for CUET 2024 will vary for each course and category.
In addition to achieving the qualifying 60% marks in CUET 2024, students must also attain scores equal to or above the CUET cut-off specified by their preferred university. Participating universities have the discretion to express the CUET cut-off either in terms of rankings, CUET Passing Marks 2024, or percentiles. Only candidates who meet or surpass the CUET Cutofff 2024 will be shortlisted for admission.
CUET Score or CUET Marks is the total marks secured by a candidate based on the exam’s marking scheme. CUET Percentile is defined as ‘a candidate’s performance with respect to the other candidate’s performance who took the same NEET Exam in the similar session’.
The table mentioned below consists of the CUET Statistics on the subject specific number of CUET Top Percentiles. Previous year’s CUET Statistics are given below:
Below are the pieces of information you need at hand to calculate CUET 2024 Percentile correctly:
Below mentioned is the relation between CUET Marks vs Percentile:
The normalization of CUET Score is defined as calculating students’ score when the exam is conducted in multiple shifts. The difficulty level of each question paper across shifts varies and hence the allocation of marks needs to be adjusted before releasing the final CUET Scorecard. The examination conducting body, NTA intends to conduct the exam for each subject in a single shift, hence eliminating the need for the cuet normalization process for these subjects. However, if some papers are being conducted in multiple shifts, there comes the need of an equi-percentile method for normalization.
The CUET 2024 Result shows the percentile obtained by candidates as per their performance. The NTA doesn’t release the result in raw scores. The table given below gives an idea of the range of CUET Percentile vs Marks 2023 that students got:

In this section, the maximum mark an individual can receive is 300. Aspirants must score more than 120 points to be eligible for the CUET 2024 Admission.
The agency has stated that the CUET exam will be held once a year. If a candidate fails to qualify on the first attempt, they can try again.
According to the CUET result analysis, a raw score of less than 400 (normalized score of less than 130) is considered a low score in CUET 2023. Students with scores in this range in CUET 2024 may be admitted to some BA/ BA (Hons.) and B.Sc/ B.Sc (Hons.) courses in colleges of private and state universities.
The NTA employs the "equi-percentile method," which calculates normalized marks for each candidate based on the percentiles of each group of students in a given session over multiple days for the same subject.
A score of 650, on the other hand, is generally considered good. Scores of 650+ to 700 are considered very good, while scores of 700 or higher are considered excellent.
