CLAT 2024 Latest Updates: The UG-CLAT 2024 aims to assess candidates' comprehension and reasoning skills. It is structured as a test of aptitude and skills crucial for legal education, prioritizing these over prior knowledge. While occasionally beneficial, prior knowledge is not essential, particularly in responding to questions in the Current Affairs, including General Knowledge section.

CLAT Syllabus

The Consortium of NLUs has released the official syllabus for the UG and PG programs for CLAT 2024, along with the admission notification. Candidates can view the CLAT 2024 syllabus at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The syllabus for CLAT 2024, which is scheduled to take place on December 03, 2024.  CLAT 2024 UG question paper will also cover five topics: current affairs, legal reasoning, logical reasoning, English, and quantitative techniques. The CLAT 2024 LLM syllabus, on the other hand, will be based on core law subjects/topics such as Constitutional Law, Jurisprudence, Administrative Law, Law of Contract, Torts, Family Law, Criminal Law, and so on.

The UG-CLAT 2024 will be a 2-hour examination, featuring 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark. Negative marking of 0.25 marks will be applied for every incorrect answer. The questions will cover five subjects, distributing the evaluation across different areas of knowledge and skill.

Section-wise details of UG-CLAT Syllabus 2024

The UG-CLAT is a comprehension exam. Multiple-choice questions from the comprehension passages are asked in each section.To answer the questions, candidates must carefully read the passage. Questions can be posed based on diagrams that represent data or information in sections such as math and logical reasoning.

CLAT 2024 Syllabus- English Language 

Passages for CLAT-UG 2024 English Language will be derived from contemporary or historically significant fiction and non-fiction writing and will be of a standard that a 12th standard student can read in about 5-7 minutes.

The questions may include an examination of legal information or knowledge discussed in or related to the passage, but no additional legal knowledge beyond the passage is required.

You will be expected to extrapolate information from such passages, graphs, or other representations and apply mathematical operations to that information.

The topics will cover the tenth standard of mathematics.
