The Center for Cultural Resource and Training (CCRT) has been implementing the Cultural Talent Search Scholarship Scheme (CTSSS) since 1982 at a national level.
The CTS is basically aimed at talented students belonging to the age group of 10 to 14 years.
They should need to be enrolled in any established school or have any family heritage in order to be eligible for the scholarship . The CCRT will provide specialized training in various cultural fields such as art , music , drama, sculpture, crafts, and literacy activities. The value of scholarships is 3600 per year, in which they can get their tuition fees paid to the teacher up to the ceiling of 9000 per year.

For the selection process, CCRT constitutes a selection committee whose decision is final. Only the lucky ones get the dates\ tests and need to appear at the regional level which may be conducted in the months of May and August every year.
CCRT Young Artist Scholarship Scheme
CCRT Young Artist Scholarship scheme provides financial support, advanced training, or individual creative efforts to reintroduce traditional forms of art . It covers the age group of 18 -25.
The general requirement for applicants to be eligible for the CCRT award is proficiency in their subject of cultural art. There are certain additional eligibility requirements for receiving a CCRT scholarship, which strives to preserve the history of Indian traditional art forms. Some of the essential eligibility criteria that students must meet before applying for the scholarship are listed below:
● Indian classical music
● Indian classical dance
● Theater
● Visual arts
● Folks, traditional and indigenous arts
● Light classical music
The duration of the scholarship is 2 years. The type of scholarships will be determined based on past training performance and the background of the scholar.
The CCRT Scholarship 2023- 2024 application is targeting young talent between the age of 10 to 14 years . The scholarship awarded under the scheme is for two years at a time which is renewable after every two years till the completion of the first university degree stage of education or up to the age of 20 years, whichever is earlier.
The value of the scholarship is 3600 per year and the special fees paid for specialized training are also reimbursed up to 9000 every year. Children whose date of birth is between 01.07.2009 and 30.06.2013 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply for the award of scholarships for the years 2023-24

People above the age of 40 years are eligible for the CCRT Senior scholarship and people between the age of 25-40 are eligible for the Junior scholarship . The value of the scholarship is ₹ 3600/- per year for the scholarship holder, in addition to reimbursement of the actual tuition fee paid to the Guru/Teacher, up to a ceiling of ₹ 9000/- per year.
The application submission is completely done offline. Interested candidates should follow the steps mentioned below:
In Step 1, you should access the application form. To access the application form, you should go to the official website. Download a hard copy of the application form.
In Step 2, fill out the application form. Fill out the application form completely, including all needed information. Check the application form again to ensure there are no errors.
In Step 3, attach all essential paperwork. Along with the application form, please attach any relevant documents such as a caste certificate, income certificate, competency certificate, and so on. Ensure that the supplied documents are authentic and verified. Also, ensure that no information on the application form is inaccurate or incomplete, as this may result in the application form being ignored further.
In Step 4, submit the application form offline by post. All the application forms should be submitted by the parents/guardian in the prescribed format opting for one art form only along with the documents after receiving the required recommendations from the guru/teacher/institution at the address given below.
A Central Selection Committee is formed to shortlist candidates for the CCRT scholarship. The selection committee's recommended applicants are further reviewed based on their talent and commitment to promoting and pursuing the art.
