CBSE Scholarship - Eligibility Criteria
It must be noted that not everyone is eligible and entitled to receive this CBSE Merit Scholarship. There are certain eligibility criteria that the aspirant must fulfill to get the scholarship. - Nationality Criteria: The aspirant must be an Indian citizen
- Minimum Marks: The scholarship is awarded to only those girl children who have a minimum of 60% marks in class 10 under the CBSE Board

How to Apply for the CBSE Scholarship
The CBSE Scholarship application procedure is different for both fresh and renewal students. The detailed application process for both has been explained below.
CBSE Scholarship Application Process - Fresh Applicant
In case of a fresh applicant, the below procedure must be followed to apply for the scholarship program.
- Visit the online application page of the CBSE Scholarship
- Click on the fresh application link to start with the application
- Enter the Class 10 roll number and the date of birth
- Once entered, an application form will open up
- Fill in all the required details and submit the application. Note down the reference number generated for future use
- Take a printout of the undertaking in the specified format
- Fill the undertaking, paste a picture and get the attestation from school
- Prepare an affidavit in the specified format (as given in the guidelines)
- Upload the scanned copy of the undertaking and the affidavit in the ‘Upload Document’ section. The file size should not be more than 1MB - PDF
- Once the documents are uploaded, the confirmation page is displayed on the screen. Take a printout of the page.
CBSE Scholarship Application Process - Renewal
The renewal candidates need to complete the process offline by following the below steps:
- Visit the official scholarship notification
- Download the scholarship form and take a printout
- Fill in all the details requested in the form
- Attach all supporting documents - Class 11 marksheet, Aadhar card copy, and a duly attested copy of a bank passbook/cancelled cheque

CBSE Scholarship Selection Procedure
The scholarship is awarded based on several criteria to ensure that only the most deserving candidate receives the scholarship. To be awarded the scholarship, the aspiring girl must meet the following conditions:
- They must be pursuing class 11 or class 12 from a CBSE affiliated school
- They must have passed class 10 with at least 60% marks from a CBSE affiliated school
- They must be the only single girl child in the family
- The candidates have to provide an original affidavit in the prescribed format duly attested by the first-class SDM/Judicial Magistrate/Notary/Executive Magistrate
- The girl also needs to ensure that the application form is attested by the principal of the school from where they are pursuing their class 11th.
- The tuition of the aspirant must be equal to or less than INR 1500 in class 10 with an enhancement of 10% for classes 11 and 12 being acceptable
CBSE Scholarship Selection Procedure - Renewal
The CBSE Scholarship is originally awarded for a tenure one year. However, the tenure can be extended till class 12 is completed. To renew the scholarship, students need to meet the below mentioned criteria.
- Scholarship renewal should be applied for class 12 in class 11
- Secure at least 50% marks in class 11
- Ensure regularity and good conduct throughout the academic journey
