Nutrition and Dietetics course has been structured to prepare the undergraduates to achieve skills to move forward with the development of the society/community/nation and entrepreneurship. Nutrition is the key to facilitate the study and enhance the quality of human life and it has been recognized and given a special role in national development. Nutrition and Dietetics course aims at enriching the minds of the students who have interest in learning finer points of nutrition. In this three year long course, students will focus on basics of nutrition, human physiology, health, weight-loss strategies etc.

BSc or Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics is a full time 3 year undergraduate course which is further divided into six semesters. This course basically covers nutrition and dietetics science and gives all the components to maintain healthy eating habits, prepare healthy diets, food management, components of a balanced diet and lifestyle management among others.

Candidates must have cleared 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects preferably with the minimum aggregate of 50% marks or above from the respective college. Some colleges also accept any one of Botany, Zoology, Biotechnology or Biochemistry in place of Biology at 10+2 level.
