BITSAT is a national level entrance examination conducted by BITS Pilani for candidates aspiring to seek admission in BITS Institutes i.e. BITS Pilani, BITS Goa, and BITS Hyderabad. The examination for the academic year 2018 will commence from May 16, 2018. Exactly a month is left for the examination and the competition level is quite tough as BITS, Pilani is the most renowned private college for engineering in India and every year numerous candidates apply for this entrance exam.

BITSAT 2018 - Preparation Tips

BITSAT 2018 examination will comprise 4 sections, carrying a sum of 150 questions. The first two section comprises of 40 questions each for Physics and Chemistry. Section 3 will carry 15 questions of English Proficiency and 10 questions of Logical Reasoning. The fourth section will include 45 questions either of mathematics or biology, depending on the course applied by the candidate.

Here are important preparation tips to crack BITSAT 2018:

  1. A well-planned Timetable- Plan your subject-wise timetable according to the weightage of the topics. In Physics paper important topics like Heat & Thermodynamics and Magnetic Effect of Current & Magnetism carries 10% and 9% weightage respectively. In Chemistry Paper Chemical Bonding is the most important topic carrying 10 % weightage in the paper. Similarly, in Mathematics Circles carry 11% weightage and Straight Lines and Pair of Straight Lines carry 7% weightage each in the Paper. So, plan a timetable keeping the weightage of important topics in mind. Meticulously analyze the syllabus before planning your timetable. No topic should be left unattended.
  2. Practice and Revise Regularly- Once a topic is done from your side switch to another topic but don't forget to revise the previous topics. Practice regularly all the topics because there are chances that you come across questions in the paper which you have covered while preparations but due to lack of revision you are not able to answer them properly. So, keep practicing all the topics on the regular basis.
  3. Mock Test- Mock Tests are always a big help! They provide you a detailed information about the actual examination such as weightage of important topics, the time taken to answer a question etc. Try to take the mock test on a daily basis and analyze your performance. Try to work on your weaker sections or areas where you faced problem while answering mock test.
  4. Stay positive and Healthy- Your goal is not impossible. Every year lakhs of candidate apply for this examination and numerous candidates crack it. Similarly, there are chances that this year you crack the BITSAT 2018 examination. So, stay positive and focused. Always take breaks of 5-10 minutes after every 2-3 hours of exhausting studies. Take proper sleep at night and stay healthy so that you can spend quality time in studying for the examination.
