Assam Police conducts the Sub Inspector Exam (SI Exam) annually to recruit candidates for the role of Sub Inspectors in their Police Force. Assam Police Sub Inspector: The formal notification alert released on the official website stated Assam Police SI UB and Commando Battalion SI AB vacancies. Candidates willing to join the Assam Police can apply through the online portal. The Assam Police Recruitment process is evaluated in three phases- written test, physical test, and interview. The final selection of the candidates is based on their performance in all three phases.
Assam Police released a total of 195 open SI positions for the recruitment year 2023-24. Applications for the Sub Inspector post have been concluded on 1 November 2024. Assam Police SI Eligibility
Applicants must meet the Assam Police SI eligibility criteria in order to be considered for the Sub Inspector role. Authorities have the right to cancel an application if the candidate is unable to fulfill the eligibility requirements.
The Assam Police SI Eligibility is as follows:
- Educational Qualification: The candidate must have completed a graduation degree in Arts/ Commerce/ Science (or equivalent) from a recognized university.
- Age Limit: The candidate must be between the age of 20 - 24 years at the time of application. The upper age limit is relaxed for reserved candidates as per government guidelines (Sc/ST by 5 years and OBC by 3 years).
- Nationality: The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
- Domicile: The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
- Language: The candidate must speak, read, and write in Assamese fluently.
- Number of Attempts: The candidate can give any number of attempts until their age limit is reached.
- Experience: No prior experience is required to join Assam Police as SI.
