The official notification regarding Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level (SSC CGL) for the year 2018 is expected to be released tomorrow i.e.May 5, 2018 by Staff Selection Commission(SSC) for various posts.

Here are Facts about SSC CGL, which you should surely know:

  1. The SSC CGL examinations are conducted to provide jobs in various departments of Central Government including Gazetted and Non-Gazetted posts
  2. The SSC CGL Examination comprises of 4 Phases known as Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 and Tier 4 which provides a job in Staff Selection Commission.
  3. The candidates aspiring to appear for SSC CGL must apply through online registration procedure which is likely to start from May 25, 2018.
  4. Eligibility Criteria:

    The Candidate applying for SSC CGL must possess a Graduate Degree from a University recognized by the Government of India. The candidates in the final year of Graduation can also apply for this examination.
  5. Age:

    The Candidate aspiring to appear for SSC CGL must not be below the age of 20 years. However, the upper limit for the same is 30 years. Earlier the upper limit was 27 years, but it is recently extended by the SSC.
  6. Citizenship:

    The candidate should be the citizen of India.

    The Candidates who qualify the Tier 1 Examination will be eligible to appear for Tier 2 and Tier 3 Examination. Tier 4 examination is not mandatory for all the students. This Phase of examination is required for particular jobs which require computer skills.

      The Time Duration for Tier 2 Examination will be 6 hours.

    • SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern for Tier 3-

      Tier 3 Examination will be based on descriptive mode. The paper will be bilingual and will comprise of Essay, Precis, Letter and Application Writing.

    • SSC CGL 2018 Exam Pattern for Tier 4-

      Tier 4 Examination will be conducted to test the Computer Proficiency of the candidate.

  9. Application Procedure:

    The online application form will be available on the official website of SSC i.e. ssc.nic.in and the online payment will be required which could be paid through Online and Offline mode.
  10. Salary:
