The AIPVT Exam was replaced by NEET-UG 2024 as of 2017 and the Veterinary Council of India will hold an all-India pre-veterinary test. Admission to these courses in 2024 will be based on the NEET score. The AIPVT Registration began on 9th February and the last date to apply for the AIPVT 2024 Exam is 16th March 2024, which has been extended from 9th March 2024. The AIPVT Exam 2024 will be held on 5th May 2024, as an offline pen-paper-based test.

What is the AIPVT Exam?

AIPVT stands for All India Pre-Veterinary Test and it is a national admissions process. The All India Pre-Veterinary Test exam was replaced by the NEET exam in 2021. The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) will manage the admission process for the BV. Sc. & A.H. degree program. It is referred to as AIPVT 2024. Admission to veterinary courses will now be based on the NEET 2024 score beginning in 2024. Admission to this course will be based on the 15% All India Quota (except for Jammu and Kashmir).

AIPVT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the eligibility requirements before applying for the AIPVT 2024. Candidates must have passed the NEET 2024 examination to appear for the upcoming AIPVT Exam 2024.

Qualification Criteria

Qualifying Exam

Pass the qualifying exam in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English (as a core course). OR Pass an examination equivalent to an intermediate science examination from an Indian University or Board recognized by the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, as well as a practical test in each of these subjects.

Minimum Marks

Pass the above exam with a minimum of 50% in English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology. Candidates must have a total grade point average of 47.5% (43.5% for SC/ST or other special categories).

Nationality

  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • If a candidate is from the state of Jammu and Kashmir, they are ineligible to apply for admission to these courses under the 15% AIQ.
  • Candidates who are residing in Jammu and Kashmir but are not domiciled in the state may apply. At the time of admission, they must submit an Affidavit to the designated Veterinary College.

Age Criteria

  • Minimum Age Requirement: Candidates must be 17 years old on or before December 31, 2023.
  • Maximum Age Limit: The candidate's age should not exceed 25 on or before December 31, 2023.

  • Scheduled Caste (SC) - 15%
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST) - 7.5%
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC-NCL) - 27%
  • Physically Handicapped (Horizontal basis) - 3%

AIPVT 2024 Application Form

The AIPVT 2024 application form was released on the official website of AIPVT on 9th February 2024. The application form is available on the AIPVT's official website, and the candidates can fill out the application form by following the steps below.

  • Go to the AIPVT's official website.
  • Fill out the personal and educational information in the AIPVT application form and submit the information on the AIPVT registration page.
  • After completing the AIPVT registration, write down the registration number.
  • Pay the AIPVT 2024 application fee via credit card/debit card/net banking/e-challan.
  • After a successful transaction, print the 'AIPVT Confirmation Slip'.

AIPVT 2024 Application Fee

The AIPVT 2024 application fee varies depending on the candidate category. The AIPVT application fee is INR 1000 for general, and INR 900 for OBC candidates. SC/ ST/ PWD candidates pay INR 500. Candidates who submit their application form after the deadline will be charged an additional 750.

AIPVT 2024 Admit Card

The All India Pre-Veterinary Test (AIPVT) 2024 Admit Card will be available on the official website sometime in April 2024. The admit card is a required document that the candidate must have on the day of the exam. 

How to Download the AIPVT 2024 Admit Card?

The AIPVT 2024 admit card can be downloaded from the official website by following the steps outlined below.

  • Go to the AIPVT's official website.
  • Enter your information, such as your registration number and password.
  • Go to the 'AIPVT Admit Card' page.
  • Save the admit card and the proforma.
  • Attach the passport-sized photo to the proforma.

AIPVT 2024 Counselling 

The council decided in 2017 to use the NEET UG merit list to provide admission into veterinary courses under the 15% AQI seat limit. Candidates must meet the VCI's eligibility criteria outlined above. AIPVT 2024 counseling will take place in a single round and is expected to start sometime in the 4th Week of May 2024 after the results are declared for the exam.
