The Bar Council of India (BCI) administers the All India Bar Examination, commonly referred to as AIBE, on a national scale in an offline format. This examination is designed for law graduates aspiring to practice in Indian courts and is open to both 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB graduates. Successful candidates in the AIBE are granted Certificate of Practice (COP) certificates, which are necessary for practicing law in Indian courts. It is imperative to possess a COP certificate to practice law in the legal system of India. The AIBE is an annual event, and the BCI has recently introduced a new set of examination centers for the AIBE 2023. In a newly issued notification, the Bar Council of India (BCI) has initiated the registration process for individuals who took the AIBE 17 at the Rajkot center and had their results nullified. These individuals can access the AIBE portal by using their previously established login details from AIBE 17. Importantly, no application fee will be applicable for their registration. It is crucial to emphasize that this opportunity is exclusively available to AIBE XVII candidates who had taken the exam at the Rajkot center.
