AFCAT Exam Date 2024 Notification Out, AFCAT Exam, Syllabus, and More

AFCAT Exam is also known as the Air Force Common Admission Test, which is an entrance test conducted by the Indian Air Force to choose eligible and desirable candidates for multiple posts in Flying and Ground Duty. On 30th May the AFCAT Notification was declared by the Indian Air Force for 304 vacant positions at the flying branch and ground duties for both technical and non-technical staff. The online notification for the registration process for the AFCAT exam was released on 30th May 2024.

The AFCAT exam is organized for Indian citizens only (Men and Women) who aspire to be part of this noble force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Ground Duty branches for a course beginning in July 2025.
AFCAT Exam Summary
Indian Air Force will conduct an AFCAT exam for Ground Duty and Gazetted Officers in Flying Branch vacancies to be recruited for the course commencing in July 2025. Interested candidates undergo a series of tests that include the Written Test, AFSB Interview, and Medical Examination. AFCAT Exam Marking Scheme 2024
AFCAT Exam is supervised by the Indian Air Force, therefore, they also determine the marking scheme. The marking scheme is used to compute the candidates' scores. Check the following guidelines for the marking scheme:
- Every correct answer is of 3 marks.
- Every wrong answer will take away 1 mark.
- No marks are deducted for unattempted questions.
AFCAT Exam Pattern 2024
AFCAT Exam is concluded in three stages- the written exam, the AFSB test, and the Medical Examination. Candidates need to clear all three stages of the AFCAT Exam in order to complete their admission into the unit. The online test is mandatory for all the candidates who have enrolled for AFCAT 2024, as it serves as a clearing round for the next stages.
Questions from the Military Aptitude Test, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and General Awareness are included in the online exam. Candidates for the Technical branch take the EKT, which consists of questions from the fields of mechanical, computer science, electrical, and electronics.
