The American College Testing (ACT) is a test that measures college-bound students' aptitude in a manner similar to the SAT. All four-year US universities and more than 200 universities abroad evaluate applicants for undergraduate admissions using the ACT exam, a national college admissions test. On seven national (within the US and its territories) and five international (outside the US and its territories) test dates each year, the ACT exam is given. In 2022, additional ACT test dates may be added by states and districts.
The ACT exam is taken by about two million students each year from more than 130 different countries. This article covers the ACT registration process for 2022, including the online and offline options, costs, and ACT exam registration procedures.

ACT Registration 2023
International students who intend to sit for the exam this year must register for it online with ACT. Numerous colleges and universities still accept ACT scores for entry into their undergraduate programs, including the University of Florida, Georgia Institute of Technology, Florida State University, University of Georgia, and the University of Central Florida.
The ACT registration process and dates are the same for all non-US nations. You will be able to finish your ACT registration and reserve the appropriate test date before the deadline once you create your MyACT account. To secure the preferred slot and test location, you must complete the ACT registration process as soon as possible. Additionally, scheduling the ACT test date at least two months before the deadline for college applications is advised .
To sign up for the ACT, there are three options available:
Online registration for the ACT
ACT registration through the mail
ACT Standby Admission Registration
ACT Registration 2023: Online Registration
Compile All Required Information
The first and most important step is to gather all of the required credentials, which include your name, email address, address, high school grades, a digital headshot, social security number, and credit card or other payment method.
You will be given a time limit of 40 minutes to complete this section.
Go to the ACT's official website. It is recommended that candidates use a desktop or laptop computer running Chrome (version 18 or higher), Internet Explorer (version 8 or higher), Safari (version 5 or higher), or Firefox (version 7 or higher).
Mobile phones and tablets are not advised for registration.
Create an Account
If you are a first-time user, you must create an account.
The account enables the aspirant to register, send or view scores, and register for additional tests (if you decide to take it a second or third time).
Remember or write down your user ID and password. You must enter it each time you log in for registration and results.
Sign Up To Test
Select the Register to test option.
You'd be taken to the first page of the registration package.
It is one of the most important stages because it requires information in order to track your scores and contact you.
Fill in the blanks with care and accuracy.
The Profile Selection Process Must Be Completed
The ACT registration packet is divided into sections.
The first few sections request information that will provide ACT with demographic information on test takers. It also focuses on providing personalized information and career suggestions.
Except for the questions marked with a red asterisk, almost all of them are optional.
This section includes questions about high school, career plans, educational plans, demographic background, and financial aid requirements.
Choose A Date And A Test Option
After finishing the profile selection, the student will be directed to the test registration page.
Fill the blanks in your registration form with your high school grades, classes, and GPA.
Choose your test date with caution.
Choose Which Colleges Should Receive Your Scores
It is free to send your scores to up to four colleges; make a list of colleges before beginning the registration process.
Many high schools do not offer the ACT on every possible date. If your school does not offer the test on the desired date, or if all seats are taken, students can use the zip code to locate other nearby testing centers.
Confirm the information
You would be asked to double-check all of the information you filled out and confirm when finished.
Typos or missing fields can prevent a student from successfully registering.
Make Your Payment
To pay for the test, you will need to use a credit card. A candidate must pay 52 USD for no writing test and 68 USD for writing test, respectively.
Additional score reports, late registration fees, and other fees for optional services can all drive up the price.
Upload Your Photograph
The photo must be uploaded before printing the ticket because the test administrator needs it to verify your identity.
You are not required to upload the photo during the registration process, but you must do so by the deadline. If not done, registration would be canceled.
Wear no hats, dark glasses, or other items that would make it difficult to identify you.
Face the camera and use a plain background.
The photo should be less than 5MB and in portrait mode. Follow JPEG, JPG, BMP, or PNG format.
The Register-by-Mail Packet includes the ACT 2022 mail registration form, and only certain candidates are permitted to use it:
The candidates should be younger than the age of 13 years.
Candidate does not have have a credit card or a serialized voucher/waiver to pay the ACT registration 2022 fee.
A single student
However, code listings such as Test Centers and Colleges are only available online and are not included in mail packets.
ACT Registration 2023: Standby Admittance
If a student misses the regular registration period, he or she can register for standby testing. To be admitted to the testing center, you must have a standby ticket prior to the test date. This does not guarantee you a seat, but you must have a ticket if you want to take the test that day.
1. Register
Access your ACT account.
A week before the test date, the standby request period expires.
Standby registration incurs additional costs.
2. Select a Testing Facility
Choose an ACT testing location where you can register as a standby test taker.
Choosing a large testing center would give you a better chance of admission because it may have a room for you.
The ACT registration deadline is approximately five weeks before each test.
